The recent Corona virus emergency has brought our attention to many aspects concerning hygiene, ranging from personal hygiene to" vehicle sanification" which is, for us, an absolute priority and of great importance in our car rental branch. Consequently, it is not enough simply washing a car from the outside or using a vacuum cleaner for the interior, but there is something more effective required to eliminate any type of virus or bacteria from our vehicles that could be dangerous.

As a car and scooter rental, it is our duty to apply all possible preventive measures that guarantee our clients to drive in the safest possible way, and to provide an even more efficient service in respect of the current restrictions and rules. But let's look more in detail how these measures are applied.
What is meant by sanification?
Throughout this period of emergency, it becomes quite clear that the transmission of the virus occurs mostly during an active, person to person contact, but there exists a small percentage of infection with Covid-19 that is possible by surface contact (which, for example, could be by means of the stearing wheel or the helmet) Acknowledging this, we cannot look the other way; we must take the most possible precautions so that the spread of the virus will be eventually annulled, and hopefully then we will be able to go back to the completely normal life we are all dreaming of. In our branch, the correct cleaning of the passenger compartment and all other elements (helmet, gloves) is of primary importance. When a vehicle is rented out, it is very important to newly sanitize it every time, especially when the passengers don't belong to the same family.The obvious question will be: how is a sanification or hygiene done?
Sanification and hygiene of vehicles: where we start
The first things to sanitize in a car or other vehicles are all the inner and outer sections with which, in one way or the other, there could be contact with our body; only when a list of all these parts has been drawn up, it will be possible to accurately and completely sanitize and clean with disinfectant products. How you can immagine, the main parts that are mostly subject to contact with our body are: the stearing wheel and gear shift, the car doors and especially the door handles and further more the multimedia controls (radio, navigator and ac) all the way to the seats and internal coverings, including the ones that are difficult to reach. Only this way it will be possible to obtain a perfect hygienic cleaning and general sanification process of the vehicle, in order to prevent and extinguish bacteria, mites, germs, allergens, bad odors and general impurities that could be dangerous for the health of passengers and drivers.
Which products and which methods are used to sanitize a vehicle?
The first thing to do when sanitizing a vehicle is to wear gloves and mask; it would certainly not be useful for the staff to sanitize without using a device for protection against the virus. This said, there exist a number of ways to hygienically clean a vehicle; primarily alcohol-based products are very popular and efficiently eliminate germs, using a paper towel or a cloth: naturally disposable. Another method our company will use to sanitize a vehicle is to utilize a kit, specifically meant for sanification of internal and external spaces, a very fast but equally efficient method, including a cleansing pistol (specifically built to clean dashboard, open spaces, holders, mats) and a concentrated liquid Surgical Medical Device used for professional cleaning on all surfaces.
